So what happened to the ’Ooh Poo Pah Doo Bar’?
Jessi Hill(1932-1996) is a legendary Musician of New Orleans, a Master of New Orleans Golden-Age of rhythm and blues. The Ooh Poo Pah Doo Bar, 1931 Orleans Ave, New Orleans which was one of the most loved bar not only for New Orleans but also for tourists from all over the world.
Judy Hill is the Queen of the ‘Ooh Poo Pah Dio’ Bar at the same time a daughter of the Legend of New Orleans. She treats anyone who enters in her bar like her family. She sings and dances holding her audiences during her performance and she is the owner of the space where she put all the energy and the spirit of the lives.
Sadly, a symbol of the history and the culture of Tremé is going to be shut down by economic problems.
There is a good news though!
Her remarkable talents have been recognized in Europe during Venice International Film Festival 2018 a film in competition ‘What you gonna do when the world’s on fire’ by Roberto Minervini.
